I pride myself in being an Internet nerd. I really do use the Internet more than the average person. Other than email and creating word documents, invoices, and proposals for my work, I spend a lot of time on forums, humorous websites, and even TMZ. I’m a gossip queen and love the banter.
A recent trend online has become the “Internet meme.” Many people don’t know what an Internet meme is, so I’ll try to help everyone out with a quick definition.
According to Wikipedia.org: An Internet meme (miːm/ MEEM) is a concept that spreads via the Internet.
I was recently turned on to these by a friend, and at first, I didn’t get it. Guess that’s the blonde in me! After some explanation, I was told “basically, it’s a funny or controversial photo with a caption. You can create a caption on pretty much any photo and if it’s humorous or creates controversy, it will go viral.”
I put my creative cap on. I was up all night researching this topic. I WANT my website about vapor cigarettes to go viral, so this sounded like a perfect plan to create some banter.
I created my own Internet memes about electronic cigarettes, which you can find below. Please comment on them!
Next, I ran this idea by a contact I have at Bull Smoke, my electronic cigarette brand of choice, and they LOVED what I was doing. Not only did he chuckle, but he offered to chip in one BullSmoke starter kit per WEEK for the month of October for the person who submits the best Internet meme that has to do with electronic cigarettes.

I’ll be posting many more memes about electronic cigarette smoking, but for now, this is a good start and gives you the basic idea of the contest I’m running!
I'm a grad student and legal assistant. More importantly, I have a goal: to help people quit smoking cigarettes and switch to vapor cigarettes!
